The Turkish Voluntary Organizations Foundation came together with its members at a breakfast meeting at the ASKON headquarters on 08.06.2022 to evaluate the post-pandemic period, the changes in youth and family, the agenda created through refugees, and our values that are sought to be eroded on social media platforms, and to consult with its members on what needs to be done to strengthen NGO activities in these areas.
ASKON hosted the second of TGTV's breakfast meetings.
Making the opening speech of the meeting, TGTV Board of Directors and Executive Board Chairman Mehmet Yıldız stated that voluntary organizations need to consult with members about the idea of holding an NGO Summit with broad participation, and that new approaches can be reached in this way. Yıldız, who mentioned that as TGTV, there will be an opportunity to consult with members about the idea of holding an NGO Summit with broad participation, said, “We are holding breakfast meetings with our members to discuss the preliminary preparations for the summit. This will be our second meeting. We will hold the third one and try to determine the framework of the NGO summit by refining the opinions obtained and prioritizing them according to the priority needs. All our voluntary organizations should realize the new situation we are experiencing and produce services with new working methods and excitement.”
Before moving on to the agenda items of the meeting, UNIW Deputy Secretary General of the Union of Civil Society Organizations of the Islamic World, Eyüp Akbal, greeted the delegation and announced the 9th Ordinary Elective General Assembly Meeting of the Union of Civil Society Organizations of the Islamic World (UNIW), to be held at the MUSIAD Headquarters on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
TGTV Executive Board Coordination Board Member Metin Uçar and TGTV Executive Board Cultural World Solidarity Board Member İsmail Tuğrul made statements to facilitate the agenda before the negotiations.
The proposals made by TGTV members for the NGO summit were recorded and the meeting was concluded.
